Pub Crawling
The 2008 “Original” Rochester Pub Crawl was a great success. The 14th annual “Walk” was much smaller than in recent years due to no info being available online. The organizers changed sites for whatever reason, pics and info for next year will eventually be available at RochestersOriginalPubCrawl.com. Can’t wait to do it all again in April for the MS Pub Crawl.
Check out all the pics from the day/night, good stuff.
Jeremiah’s
Things got started at noon at Jeremiah’s. We were here til almost 3 and fell behind the crowd a bit. Many beers were had, some really delicious food helped slow the absorbtion of a long day o’ drinking ahead.
Monty’s Krown
Way too small even with a smaller crawl than usual. But they have Genny Cream Ale so Dominator was particularly happy.
We cut out of here after 1 beer.
Spike’s
Dirty and ugly as usual, but, ummmm, well, we got 3 very different beers leading to a great picture.
JD Oxford’s
Big place but a poor layout at the bar led to major cramping getting a drink, we were squeezed in pretty tight and cut out after one beer again. This got us ahead of the bulk of the crowd.
Enright’s Thrist Parlor![]()
Nice until its crowded, this was another 1 beer stop helping us stay ahead of craziness.
Avenue Pub
Played some pool, won on a spectacular bank shot. Some of us enjoyed a water to keep things from getting rediculous, the ladies did a strawberry shortcake shot. I heard it was tasty.
Sports Page![]()
Things were pretty normal for the Sports Page. People site quietly and watch sports on TV. Once more drunk people showed up things started getting silly. There was a lady who at first glance dressed and acted like she was a 20-something, dancing like she’s at Syxx, grindin her junk on some guy to some pop song despite the fact she was at least 40. Then Michael Jackson came on, she continued grinding, gettin low, too low and not able to get up sometimes. We were disappointed since she was doing this right next to our table. We decided she had to be made aware how badly she was failing. Dom gave her the big thumbs down. She tried doing some Beat It dance, but continued to fail, so she went back to slutty dancing. Good for her, sticking with what she knows best.
Acme
Yay, finally awesome food time. We were pretty starved by this point. While waiting for the large ‘roni we ordered, someone gave Hero her almost full basket of tater tots which we devoured like malnourished african villagers. We enjoyed some great Railbender beer while eating lots o’ greasy pizza. Hung out here for a while as the Crawl caught up with us.

O’Callaghan’s
We attempted to recreate the DJBR shot again, it was more fail.We dominated the juke box before the crowd showed up and rocked out pretty well.
Woody’s
Now things are startin to get pretty drunk. We hit the mini mart outside of O’Calls and smuggled some beer into Woody’s. It was pretty late and this was the last official stop on the crawl, but we had 2 more bars to visit. Some Man showed up. The gang acted pretty belligerent in the back while some mediocre band played.
Bug Jar
Crucifist played some metal, Russ and Dom rocked out absurdly hard, Erin danced too. The band harassed Marcy and Scott for being lame and just sitting around.

Damien’s
Mesh, good cover band, more serious dancing. People were just sittin around until the McDagos ran in at 1:30am and torn things up in front of the band. Suddenly people came out and danced, but not too close to us since we were gettin pretty crazy. The Band was psyched to see us gettin into it, we kinda made there night.
The Walk (home)
This was an adventure in itself. No one was in any condition for driving. Russ just couldn’t overcome his desire to be face to face with the ground. Dom finally managed to get pictures before helping him up.
